Course contents

Fundamentals of static equilibrium are applied to the analysis of beams, trusses, and frames. Free bodies, shear and moment diagrams, and sectional area properties are covered. Flexibility method: Basic concepts, member flexibility matrix and application to pin-jointed redundant truss, plane frame, continuous beam and space frame.
