• list the landmarks in the evolution of the narrativity of film, the business of film and the technology of film
• list the landmarks in the evolution of the multimedia as a communication medium; and
• contrast film and multimedia as products of a historical process

Course contents

There are two aspects to this course: 1. History of film; and 2. History of multimedia. Film A critical survey of the evolution of film from then till now. Crucial landmarks in the growth of film in the following areas: film as a narrative medium; film as business; and the technology of film. Hollywood. Nollywood. Bollywood.
