Course contents

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the earliest form of writing in the Language prior to the advent of Europeans, otherwise known as the Ajami script. The course thus deals with the history of the advent of Ajami, the problem of variation in the script as well as the challenges it faces in contemporary Nigeria.
