Course contents

Types of underwater noise and the elementary characteristics of sound. Introduction to acoustic conversion efficiency and noise control. Wave equation, plane sound waves, spherical waves, transmission at media interfaces, acoustic radiation and radiation efficiency including noise level, spectra and bandwidth.
