Course contents

Crude oil pre-treatments: Crude oil impurities (water, salt and solids); Dehydration. Variables affecting crude oil dehydration; Desalting. Main problems of salty crude oil, Oil desalting principles, Electrostatic theory; Separation processes: Atmospheric distillation, vacuum distillation, azeotrophic and extractive distillation.
