History of the domestic fowl. Types and breeds of poultry. Special husbandry (housing and feeding) requirements of broilers, layers, breeders and cockerels. Special husbandry requirements of turkey, guinea fowl, duck, ostrich and quail. Hatchery management. Inspection and care of day-old chicks. Biosecurity measures on poultry farms.
