ESM 331 — Property Management and real Estate Marketing

What you'll be able to do (official learning outcomes)

• At the end of this course, students should be able to:
• define and explain the basic principles of property management
• state the difference in the nature and relationship of landlord and tenant, and how they are formed and sustained
• explain the fundamentals of estate marketing practice; and
• demonstrate competence in estate marketing practice through field assignments

Course contents

Management theory and principles in relation to landed property. Management evolution, principles of management, forecasting, planning, organization, co-ordination, control, motivation, communication. Advanced concepts of land and interests in land (estate).
