Course contents

Introduction to morphology. Relationship of morphology to phonology and syntax. Identification of morphemes, their classification, (e.g. root or affix, or inflectional or derivational), and morphological typology (e.g. isolating, agglutinative, fusional languages). Analysis of the morphologies of selected African languages (e.g. Bantu).
