NUT 202 — Introduction to Clinical Nutrition

• describe the conceptual framework for the courses of malnutrition
• explain nutrition-related diseases; and
• give overview of nutrition in the prevention and management of diseases

Course contents

Malnutrition as a health problem. Nutritional problems of public health importance. Causes of Nutritional problems. Prevention of nutritional problems. Classification of nutritional diseases, diseases due to biological and chemical toxicants in foods. Diet and dental diseases. Diet and cancer.
