Course contents

Review of autonomic nervous system anatomy, sympathetic (thoracolumbar) and parasympathetic (craniosacral) divisions. Review of neurohumoral transmission. Neurotransmitters of the ANS, cholinergic and adrenergic transmission–evidence for acetylcholine and noradrenaline, synthesis of the neurotransmitters.
