Course contents

Traditional Generative Grammar (TGG) – word and phrasal categories. The Transformational Generative Grammar theory – FSG, PSG, TGG, GB, Minimalist Theory. Application of TGG to the analysis of the Ibibio clause structure – dependent and independent clauses, sentences.
