Course contents

Poetic forms in the Ibibio language, their structure and their functions. A critical appreciation of poetic forms. Characteristics of Ibibio poetry. Elements of Ibibio poetry. Literary devices in Ibibio poetry – language and diction, style, prosodic elements, figures of speech, musical accompaniment, etc.
