Classification of African languages – Niger Congo, Nilo Saharan, Afroasiatic, Khoisan. African phyla and major languages. Structural characteristics (phonological, morphological, and grammatical) of selected African language(s) (e.g. tone and Bantu-type noun classification, click sounds, ideophones, serial verb constructions).
