• design and implement simple client-side and server-side web applications
• demonstrate hands-on skills in PHP and Python programming uses open-source software
• compare and contrast web programming with general-purpose programming; and
• develop a fully functioning website and deploy it on a web server

Course contents

Introduction to framework-based web development using a contemporary language like PHP and ASP.net. Principles of web pages (dynamic and static) and website design. The tool used in web development. Client-side and server-side languages.
