• recite and sing rhymes and song that appeal to Primary school children
• initiate, organize and obtain impromptu reports from children
• encourage formation of letters
• initiate reading by pronunciation of letter sounds
• give clues to verbal and non-verbal communication
• speak and write with minimal grammatical errors

Course contents

Base the content of the national English studies curriculum for Primary schools. Concentrate on perfecting the child’s attempts at language and communication. Special emphases on; Speaking. Letter Recognition. Letter Formation. Reading. Writing. Listening and Total Communication. Verbal and Non-verbal communication skills.
