Course contents

General introduction of materials. Mechanical properties of materials: stress, strain, ductility, hardness, toughness and fatigue. Non–Crystalline materials: glasses, amorphous, semiconductors, fibre optics. Organic materials: conducting polymers, organic metals. Alloys: steel, phase diagram.
