EHR 403 — Human Resource Management and Employment Theories

Course contents

Definition of a theory. Distinctions among facts, principles, hypothesis, theory and model. Relationship between theory and data. Evaluation of a theory. Examples of theories in HR: Scientific management school, human relations school, socio-technical system school, unitary theory, pluralist theory, Marxist theory.
