ADV 325 — Power and Influence

• compare and contrast effective and ineffective uses of power in different organizational contexts and career stages
• analyse the difficult ethical questions associated with the use of power and influence in advertising profession; and
• discuss the theories of power in the context of promotional culture

Course contents

Conceptual models, tactical approaches, self-assessment tools and simulation exercises. Understand the concept of influence as well as develop influence style and understand political dynamics. Effective and ineffective uses of power in different organisational contexts and career stages.
